Pre-nursery section
The Spring Section welcomes children from 24 to 36 months and is a “bridge class” that promotes continuity with the Nursery School.
Objectives
The Educational Project is specific to this age group and aims to achieve the four goals consistent with the 0-6 year system:
- Identity building.
- Initial development of autonomy.
- Motivation to learn.
- Learning to live together.
Activities promote healthy and harmonious growth and facilitate the transition into Nursery School.
Structure
- The Section can accommodate up to a maximum of 20 children.
- The ratio is 1 educator for every 10 children.
- Exposure to the English language is provided for one hour a day with a native-speaking teacher.
Projects and Workshops
The curriculum is divided into projects covering all areas of development (affective-social, motor, cognitive, expressive). Play is the primary source of learning.
The core projects (socio-affective, motor, linguistic) are complemented by:
- Music Project: in cycles, starting from January, with an external expert.
- Continuity Project: promotes knowledge and familiarization with the spaces, older children, and teachers of the Nursery School.
